*He began writing compositions by the age of 5 and performed on tour with his sister when he was 6.

*In his early years Mozart performed at the Schonbrun Palace. At the end of one of his concerts, he got so excited he jumped into the lap of a young girl in the audience and asked, ‘Will you marry me?’ Who was this young girl? The beautiful Archduchess Maria Antonia, the future Marie Antoinette.

When he was eight, Mozart was tested by a member of the Royal Society to establish (among other things) whether he was in fact a child, as opposed to a dwarf. The tester, Daines Barrington, was eventually convinced when Mozart, in the middle of playing a piece, was distracted by a cat that ran through the room.

*When he was only 14 years old he joined the Freemasons and wrote his first opera, Mitridate Re di Ponto.

*He gave Beethoven music lessons in 1787.

*He spoke 15 languages.

*While visiting the Vatican, Mozart heard Gregorio Allegri’s Miserere performed in the Sistine Chapel. He was able to write out the entire score from memory. For doing this he was given the Papal Order of the Golden Spur by the pope of  Rome, Clement XIV, and by this he became a knight.

*He was known to be a bit perverted and at the age of 21 Mozart wrote a dirty love letter to his then 19 year old cousin titled My ass burns like fire.  In 1782 Mozart composed a canon called “Lick my asshole”

*He died broke at the age of 35 writing for a mysterious stranger dressed in black whom requested a piece he later called Requiem  for a funeral, he felt he was writing it for himself. He died before it was finished and one of his students took over and finished it.

*Nobody knows where Mozart’s  grave site is.
